The Reverend Fr. Isaac Rehberg
Father Isaac was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to a military family, and was raised both Roman Catholic and Episcopalian, but spent most of his teens and twenties in Messianic Judaism. He has lived in the San Antonio area since 1992, when his father was stationed on Fort Sam Houston, and graduated from Robert G. Cole High School in 1997 as valedictorian.
He earned his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2003 and his Master of Christian Ministry degree from Wayland Baptist University in 2011. It was during his studies at Wayland that Father Isaac heard the call to ordained ministry as an Anglican priest. In 2012, he was ordained to the diaconate at Christ Our King Anglican Church in New Braunfels, Texas. In 2013, he was ordained to the priesthood and was later called to minister at All Saints. In 2017, he was appointed the vicar of All Saints, upon the retirement of Fr. Chip Harper.
He is a Texas Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser, and has been working as an appraiser since 1998. He currently owns his own appraisal firm, Obed T. Appraisals, to help fund his ministerial call.
Often active in local music, Father Isaac is a longtime guitar player and songwriter. He is a regular contributor to the North American Anglican, including chorale settings of the Magnificat, Nunc Dimittis, and the Lord's Prayer. Father Isaac has also contributed to the Homely Hours blog, the Southwest Institute of Messianic Studies Journal, and is the winner of the 2002 Martinello Prize for Inquiry. Father Isaac has taught Torah, the Epistles of St. Paul, and Old Testament Survey at the undergraduate level in addition to various internships teaching elementary school children.
Since 2014, Father Isaac has been married to his lovely wife, Heather. They have one daughter, Leah, born in 2015.
